Compart Systemhaus GmbH Becomes Compart AG
[Böblingen, 22nd of December 2008] - The legal name of the company was changed from Compart Systemhaus GmbH (the equivalent of a LLC) into Compart AG (the equivalent of an incorporated company). This completes the reorganization of the company’s sales, service and development activities into independent companies. It allows the parent company, Compart AG, to concentrate on product development and support, while the fully owned subsidiaries including Compart Deutschland GmbH, Compart North America Inc. and Compart Iberia S.L. are sales and service companies in their respective geographies.
The goal of this change is to achieve greater flexibility resulting from Compart’s consistent growth by providing a clean organizational structure with defined operational responsibility. As a profitable and growing enterprise, Compart’s incorporation was not undertaken with the goal of raising capital. Compart is able to finance its strong growth from its own reserves, while being able to simultaneously improve its equity ratio.
Compart AG remains a privately held organization owned by Harald Grumser (CEO) and Christof Mayer (CTO), both of whom are members of the Board of Directors. As a result of this change, two long-serving executives, Peter Hopf, Chief Financial Officer, and Jörg Palmer, Chief Services Officer, have been subsequently nominated to the Board. In addition, a supervisory board has been created and joined by Reinhard Hamburger (Chairman), previous Managing Director of Agilent Technologies Deutschland GmbH, Management Consultant Hans-Jürgen Berger and lawyer Dr. Rene-Alexander Hirth, a specialist in international law.
