Comparting 2005, Compart Systemhaus GmbH Technology Forum

[Böblingen, September 19, 2005] – As a knowledge exchange and meeting point for specialists and users of document and output management, Compart Systemhaus GmbH held its first technology forum on the 12th and 13th of September called Comparting. More than 70 participants were offered presentations covering the fundamentals, technology and products as well as practical applications from the real world.

The technology presentations of the forum comprised presentations including ”AFP and Colors“, ”Fonts - the Unknown Entity”, and future perspectives of process control. In addition there were foundation courses covering ECM and pre-processing, steps to archive migration as well as a presentation on the peculiarities and fabrication of paper, a subject which gave participants a glimpse of something they would not usually be aware of.

User presentations included collective communication at the German Post, hybrid mail from Postel Italy, a subsidiary of the Italian Post, decentralized mass text formatting at Nürnberger Versicherung, a German insurance, and formatting with XML and XSL-FO at Künstlersozialkasse, an Artist Social Fund. The program was rounded off by a presentation of the latest developments and product planning from Compart.

Based on very positive feedback, it is planned to continue to hold the forum in the future.
