DMS 2009 Focus on Output-Management: The PDF/A-Stand, the Forum Output-Management and a new Compart Stand
[Böblingen, September 10, 2009] – Output management will be the major focus at this year's DMS from the 15th to the 17th of September in Cologne. New developments to be shown on Compart’s stand will include the SAP integration of DocBridge Pilot resulting from cooperation with BSG, the integration of the workflow product Océ COSMOS, compositioning based on XML and XSL-FO with the Cartago Live product from Cartago. Compart will also be presenting its latest product versions focusing on postage optimization and electronic franking. On the PDF/A stand Compart will present â€Applying PDF/A in Output Management“ as well as giving a report on the issue during the forum. And the new Forum Output Management at the first day of the event will bring a series of presentations covering the current situation regarding a number of aspects of the main theme – encapsulated by a keynote speech to begin with and a moderated panel discussion at the end of the day.
On the Compart stand (Stand D 031/E 030, Hall 7.1), under the banner “Output Management Solutions“, four demonstration stations will reveal several aspects of the main theme:
SAP Integration with DocBridge Pilot:
BSG a SAP integration partner based in Berlin will demonstrate volume printing and how to initiate archiving using DocBridge Pilot from SAP applications and how to provide processing information from DocBridge Pilot to SAP.
Workflow Integration with Océ from COSMOS:
With Océ COSMOS, a modular, platform-independent and network capable workflow management system controllable document production and printing processes can be coupled together with DocBridge Pilot to form a complete, fully automatic process flow. How Océ COSMOS und DocBridge Pilot work together, and the resulting benefits will also be shown on this stand.
Document creation based on XSL-FO and XML with Cartago Live:
Cartago Live is a pure web-based solution for the generation of XML documents based on W3C standards - comparable to Word online. The solution builds on Compart’s high performance XSL-FO-Engine for document post processing and print optimization.
Compart products with the focus on postage optimization and electronic franking:
At this demonstration station the latest versions of Compart’s products will be used to show how to optimize datastreams. The focus this year will be on the multiple functions of DocBridge Pilot for postage optimization and the electronic franking of mail pieces for various dispatchers, as supported by this product for a wide spectrum of operating system platforms.
On the PDF/A stand of the PDF/A Competence Center (Stand G 059/H 054, Hall 7.1) Compart will be showing how PDF/A can be used as an output format in output management.
